Early detection and correction of PCB fabrication errors
Many electronic engineering organizations now recognize that problems arising during PCB fabrication can drastically impact product schedules, cause costly design re-spins, or may require modifications to the design after release from engineering compromising design integrity and intent.
CAM350’s Design for Fabrication (DFF) Analysis pulls fabrication rules into the PCB design domain and presents them in a way that is understood by the PCB designer. DFF Analysis verifies the PCB database while still in engineering for issues that can cause problems as a result of the fabrication process.
Highlights:
CAM350 assists in the correction of fabrication problems resulting in significantly more manufacturable designs, less risk of design re-spin, and maintaining design integrity and intent.

Sophisticated and comprehensive CAM tools to support the fabrication factory
Faster, smaller and cheaper electronics also wreaks havoc on the PCB fabrication process. Shorter fabrication turn around times mean less time to ensure the design can be fabricated and will not run into problems during the fabrication process. The paradox of faster turn around at lower cost, creates higher risks with PCB yields which in turn drives up PCB costs. The fabricator must ensure that process tasks such as manufacturing engineering, PCB etching, NC drilling and milling operations, and bare board test, can be conducted as smoothly and efficiently as possible so delivery schedules can be met without compromising PCB quality or performance.
CAM350’s intelligent data structures allow the manufacturing and/or sales engineer to quickly evaluate customer's design, requirements, and job order to provide an objective and realistic response for pricing and delivery. Manufacturing Engineering can also use CAM350 to produce intelligent panels for better optimization of the fabrication process. The NC Editor allows the design or panel to be automated and analyzed for the most efficient and optimum drill/mill path performance. To complete the process, CAM350 provides tools to create bed of nails and flying probe data to ensure that that the PCB is tested and improve end product quality.
Highlights:
CAM350 supports the entire fabrication factory to ensure customer demands with high PCB quality and cost efficiency.
