Started in 1995, EMI Software is a privately held corporation based in Redondo Beach, California. They strive to simplify electromagnetic interference (EMI) prediction by providing circuit designers, packaging engineers, and EMC professionals with intuitive models that accurately predict electromagnetic interference.
EMI Software creates software to help companies pass EMI requirements imposed by regulatory agencies.
Consider these facts:
- Every electronic device must pass regulatory agency EMC requirements.
- Nearly every electronic product will fail certification testing the first time through the lab.
EMI Analyst™ is an electromagnetic interference analysis program that combines all four facets of EMI analysis into a single design package. View screen shots of EMI Analyst™
- Conducted Emissions
- Radiated Emissions
- Conducted Susceptibility
- Radiated Susceptibility
EMI Analyst™ seamlessly integrates the capabilities of CE Analyst™, RE Analyst™, CS Analyst™, and RS Analyst™.
- CE Analyst™ calculates the amplitude of radio frequency current and voltage conducted on electric circuit wiring.
- RE Analyst™ calculates the amplitude of electric fields radiated from conductors carrying radio frequency current.
- CS Analyst™ calculates voltage and current amplitude induced in circuits by voltage or current waveforms that are injected on the conductors to which the circuits are connected.
- RS Analyst™ calculates voltage and current induced in circuits when an electromagnetic field strikes the conductors to which the circuits are connected.
Using EMI prediction software can save you thousands of dollars on each product design. Consider these facts:
- Every electronic device must pass regulatory agency EMC requirements.
- Nearly every electronic product fails certification testing the first time through the lab.
- Fixing problems is expensive. It costs 10 to 50 times more to fix an interference problem than to prevent it.
- Certification testing costs $1,200/day - $2,500/day.
- Troubleshooting, retrofit, redesign and re-test add significant cost to product development and delays production and delivery.
Frequency Range
EMI calculations at all frequencies of interest.
- 1 Hz to 100 GHz (application-dependent)
- Linear or logarithmic steps
- Resolution 1 Hz (linear), 1000 pts/decade (logarithmic)
Self-Teaching Tool
